Description
Acrylamide is a highly water-soluble compound and its level in drinking water is regulated in many geographies. The WHO guidelines for drinking water provide a limit of 0.5 ppb for acrylamide.
Current methods for analysis of acrylamide in water are costly, time- and effort-intensive, and results are available only after the water has been distributed for use. We would like a faster, less labor-intensive, and accurate method that can give us results in real time.

- Limit of quantification of low single-digit ppb
- Minimal upfront and on-going costs - Significantly cheaper than current methods
Nice-to-Haves
- Limit of quantification = WHO limit of 0.5 ppb
- Accuracy of 0.5 ppb
- Simple to use by plant personnel (similar to other water quality tests)
- Window of time ≤ 15 mins (Max) for testing
- Capability to integrate with LIMS system
- In-line measurement capability
- Green chemistry
